Lawson-Software-Introduced-Cloud-Based-Services Statistics have revealed that Lawson Software has currently 4000+ clients from manufacturing, distributing, maintenance and healthcare sectors. In return, Lawson Software provides them their ERP software and services.

The ERP vendor has come up with a new technology, known as – Grid Computing Technology, used for the distribution of application workload and work sharing between an integrated network setup and a cluster of servers. Part of the new technology uses a combination of series of a virtual software appliances and the other half manages the remaining appliances through the drag and drop Cloud Console tool.

This new product/service from Lawson Software uses the technology through Linux OS and IBM’s WebSphere applications server. I talked about the Grid Computing technology in terms of parts and this is where it gets interesting. The first two appliance products are in collaboration with the Lawson’s Smart Office and Enterprise Search Applications.

Since it is an age of VPNs (Virtual Private Networks), Lawson is taking other virtualization technologies/services into account as well. Word is that Microsoft’s Hyper-V is next on the list of Lawson Software but nothing has been finalized for any announcement(s).

The newest version of the Cloud Console is really easy to handle, due to an array of help options and self automated aspects. This indeed, has reduced the staffing and recruitment costs for a lot of organizations in over 33 countries.
