Windows 7 finally hit the market last October – some were skeptical while others were completely ready for this new Windows Operating System. Many were pretty skeptical of Windows 7 because its predecessor, Windows Vista, was particularly unpopular. There were complaints of it crashing a lot and I’ll have to back those complaints up as I had the same issue with my Vista Operating System. I now have Windows 7 and I love it and can truly say that I have had no problems whatsoever with it.
But, since becoming available on the market, Windows 7 OS has officially sold (and the number increases as we speak, I’m sure) 90 million copies, according to Microsoft CFO, with this number increasing as businesses and individuals upgrade their office and home PC’s.
The huge amount of copies sold in such little time makes Windows 7 unarguably the fastest selling Operating System in the PC industry history! Businesses and organizations will be needing to upgrade their Operating Systems within the coming years, which will allow Microsoft’s Windows 7 Operating System to be installed during this cycle of upgrading.
It seems that Microsoft is on a roll with this one and the impetus that this Operating System has created doesn’t appear to be letting up anytime soon.
