I wonder if Microsoft has figured out Handwriting recognizing algorithms, which can work for cursive writings as shown in the Video (Still in research even in the finest Universities of the world, Handwritings are different as finger prints for different people). Besides, I dont want to write such long sentences and so does millions around me, hope the virtual keyboard exists if these wants to do the rounds among the people.

And its not always the best products that sell, but the products which simply gets the stuff we use to our hands with ease. That is the reason why a company jumped from $5b in 1988 to $200b in 2010.

Microsoft have already years of experience in the tablet market, and in advanced touch screen technology with product 'Surface' The first videos of Courier were released more than 5 months ahead of any official product information from Apple on the iPAD. From my understanding courier concept has been around a long time, but it is just now the hardware is becoming affordable.

And your comment "microsoft software always has issues" Well so does all software, but if you've used any of the recent Microsoft products such as Windows 7 you will find they are of the highest quality, and so few issues that they are a dream to use.

Depends on what step you're talking about - Microsoft has its thumbs in many areas and products that Apple does not have and Apple is a hardware company that does software and Microsoft is a software company that does not necessarily do hardware. The ITouch came after MP3 players, the MAC stole from Xerox, Microsoft stole from Apple, and so the party goes. Being the first may not always end up being the best. Apple has done well since Jobs has returned but Apple still only has a small percentage of the computer market - now it's challenged by others in the phone arena. It still owns the MP3 market and music store, though others are coming up with other ideas. Microsoft is in the position to be everywhere in our lives - computers, cell phone, server, games, vehicle, home entertainment, tablet device, music, etc. Apple is snazzy but limited to some degree. Sizzle has value but we'll see about staying power.
