Mobile-HD-Voice Ever since the advent of telephones and mobile handsets, and especially the crappy voice quality by wireless carriers, some of the good fellas are offering the HD voice call feature. Do you know what that is? It’s a little uncommon, but as the legend says; Mobile HD Voice allows customers to hear crisp n clear voice. It is just like taking a walkthrough tour of the HD video thing, except for the video part.

The operators are being encouraged by technology and a slew of customer complaints to opt for this feature. A good number of reports from the Global Mobile Suppliers Association said that improved call quality is high in demand currently. Voice HD is based on a speech compression algorithm, something that antes up the range of voice frequencies transmission – making them more audible.

The first time this technology was introduced, it was 2006 with Sony Ericsson and T-Mobile packages. They had a good show back, both the operators charged a little extra in form of hidden fee packages, but no one really minded it. Since then, the technology sort of went a little mild, until recently. Currently, Voice HD has made a comeback and is widely being promoted by “Orange”.

Orange’s current marketing strategy for Voice HD has been successful so far. The French wireless carrier has promoted the crispy voice packages in 7 countries that include Belgium, Egypt, the UK, Spain, France Armenia and etc. currently, the Nokia N8 and E5 are more than capable of supporting this feature. Orange is already using it.

At this rate, it’d be interesting to see Voice HD spreading like a plague. Let’s wait and see folks.
