It is predicted that Apple will dominate the market of smartphones in 2011 by introducing a new version of iPhone which will run on the famous Verizon Wireless.
Apple will mass produce the touch screen iPhones in the end of 2010 and release the iPhones in the start of 2011. These phones will use Verizon Wireless technology.
Verizon is currently performing maintenance on its network to manage the heavy data loads by iPhone users.
ATT&T’s iPhone users complain many times about the poor service quality and dropped calls.
Different studies reveal that Verizon has a better network than ATT&T’s.
By introducing the iPhone to Verizon customers, it is expected that it will give advantage to iPhone in its competition with Google Inc Android software.
Apple nearly sold 40 million iPhones in the world in 2010. Android is giving a tough competition to Apple. Verizon gave a lot of publicity to Android handsets and they secured 27% of total US Phone market in the second quarter.
Microsoft also tried to dominate the market by introducing different smart phones that use its windows 7 mobile operating system.
Still, it is expected that iPhone will get a good response from Verizon Customers.
A university student told that he likes the iPhone but the ATT&T’s coverage is not good as compared to Verizon. If Verizon comes out with the iPhone then I will take it”
Verizon can attract more than 10 million US customers and a survey conducted showed that 34% of customers prefer iPhone instead of taking any other smart phone.
Apple is also making a new fifth generation iPhone model.
