If you aren’t concerned about Verizon Wireless’ 4G LTE network, then you might be interested in the soon-to-be released HTC Droid Incredible 2 they are going to sponsor on the network could be the smart phone you want to buy when it comes out this spring. It hasn’t been officially announced, but its specifications and photos have been leaked to the media.

The first version of the HTC Droid Incredible was a gigantic success ever since it came out last spring, and the new Droid Incredible 2 is set to join it in popularity, thanks to HTC Sense on top of the Android operating system. Users will, however need to wait to see the official set of specifications when they are released.

Even so, the leaked version suggests that the new phone is going to be a very powerful model, and that it looks to be much more advanced than the original Droid Incredible.  The first Incredible’s 3.7-inch AMOLED screen is supposed to be upgraded to a 4-inch SLCD screen, which is the very same size at the screen on the Samsung Fascinate and is also similar to the new Incredible S that was released for worldwide markets.

An interesting note, should this be a clone of that Incredible S model, the Incredible 2 should have two cameras, both an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with dual LED flash and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera.  The second one would be useful for things like chatting on the web using WiFi, as the HTC Thunderbolt will also have the option of Skype video chatting through 4G LTE.

The Incredible 2 is also thought to have features like a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8655 chipset, 4GBs of internal storage, 768MBs of RAM and a powerful 1450 mAh battery. The phone is thought to run the Android 2.2 operating system, but will come out installed with HTC Sense on top of Android 2.3 operating system.

The expected release date and how much it will cost haven’t been announced, plus to get the true finalized copy of the spec, users will again need to be patient and wait until HTC and Verizon announce them, as HTC usually makes custom phones for the carrier.
