Smartphone-Security Smartphones are now being used by millions around the world and this year mobile security is prioritized by several security software companies. Most of them have either released or in the process of releasing a mobile security app for several smartphone platforms. The security companies are concerned about the future of mobile security.

The Android is praised by its openness to developers. Anyone can make an app and distribute it to the world without undergoing a lengthy scrutiny process. But this also makes the platform open for malware to attack the smartphone. Security companies point to the Android as malwares next target.

Security software companies are concerned about how people openly install software in their smartphones. It seems like the users are not worried about the threat of virus in their smartphones. Mobile malware is now a problem in some parts of the world. Lookout Mobile, a mobile security software company, found a Trojan in re-packaged versions of several Android apps.

Smartphones contain information that’s not kept in a PC. These include contacts’ phone numbers, photos, videos and a lot more. You can easily misplace your mobile phone. This is the reason why there are several Android security apps that are designed to secure when you misplace your phone.
