Samsung Galaxy Tab to Face Difficulties on Its Way to Success

We knew it – The piece of news about Samsung Galaxy tablet was too good to be true. Now, I am not saying that the tablet release news was a hoax, but there have been reports about some “unknown” obstacles that could get in the way of the success of the new device.

On paper and up front, the new Samsung Galaxy tablet is a marvel. If not all, it has most of the iPad-ish features and unlike the iPad; Galaxy has 2 cameras in it. One is at the front side; the other one with slightly higher Megapixels is at the back side. In addition, you can expand the storage size by installing a MicroSD card of your choice.

The good part of the Android world is that every single developer can create applications for it. Several companies have released a multitude of android powered machines and in some cases; Android OS is posing a threat against its own allies. The iOS, on the other hand is something exclusive. While the developers are in the middle of developing a software for the iOS, they know for sure that their program will be executed on an iPod, an iPad or an iPhone.

In Android’s case, no one knows too much about the dimension, screen size, resolution, and so on. Think of all the Android applications that are developed while keeping a smartphone in mind. Do you think that they’d run perfectly on the Samsung Galaxy tablet? By the way, the iPhone apps technically work on an iPad with a very minor change in its dimensions. Plus, you can always enlarge the app screen on your iPad to a more desirable shape.

And of course, among other challenges that the Galaxy tablet faces, are cost and contracts. Yes, it’s true that the tablet has potential of knocking off some iPads, but do you think that users are going to line up, the way they did when the iPad was released? Samsung will have to cut the price to get noted in the market.

I think Galaxy Tab is far superior in playing phone apps. IPad just blows up the apps doubling pixel size and so on so you can see right away the app was created for phone. Galaxy Tab makes does something smart so it looks right.
