Samsung Fascinate to Round Off Galaxy S

Through the launch of the fascinating Samsung Fascinate, the company will be rounding off with its 4th smartphone through the 4 biggest carriers across the U.S. Clearly; Samsung isn’t following the old rat race trend here. Prior to Samsung, companies used to release one smartphone and that too, to show their sense of exclusivity.

Under the U.S. Telecom law, Samsung or any other company is liable to release one smartphone through one carrier. The same exact make and model cannot be released through another carrier while, the first one is still in the market. What Samsung did was purely a work of genius, the company released the same Galaxy S smartphone, but with a slight change to some features. And of course, the name was also altered a little bit, but those base features in all 4 Samsung smartphones are identical.

But if you’re willing to go with the “E-Theory” to your grave, then know this:

• There is a subtle sense of difference between
o T-Mobile Vibrant
o Samsung Captivate
o Samsung Epic 4G
o Samsung Fascinate

In that regard, the devices are somewhat unique and can be still condoned as “Exclusive” to their respective carriers.

At this point, other smartphone manufacturers are supposed to take a hint with a pinch of salt. Apple could have made a truck load of profit if Uncle Steve had opted for the same strategy. But ah well, maybe he is thinking of manipulating the market through some other means.
