New York Yankees Ban Apple iPad in Stadium

In an attempt to get more people to actually watch the baseball games at Yankee stadium, they have recently banned the use of Apple iPads.  Well, I am not sure if that is the reason, since rules are never, ever very clear, but nonetheless, the iPad has been put in the same group as laptops, which are banned from the stadium.

Even though you can walk right through security at any airport without removing your iPad from the luggage, if you think you can bring it into a Yankee game, you have another thing coming.  I don’t really think the iPad is part of any type of security risk, no matter what location you are in, but I have to say that it is quite weird they have been banned in the stadium.

Maybe it’s more about the fact that people are reporting what is going on in the game as it happens, but don’t you think you can do that from your iPhone, too?  Ok, so that isn’t it either, what other crazy reasons can we come up with just to pass the time?  Maybe they don’t want people checking out videos of the Yankees losing while watching a game in real-time?  I don’t know, but I think I am going to do some digging around and see what I can find on this one!
