Steve Jobs took over the stage once again on Wednesday. The CEO claimed that the new iPods are the biggest thing that ever happened to the product lineup. The earliest model of the device was the “iPod Shuffle”; it had gone through several changes and Apple eliminated its buttons.
But Jobs said that “People missed those buttons”, so Apple once again reviewed different ages of the iPod and created a device with a circular playback control. The new panel appeared on the second generation of the iPod shuffle.
Moving on to the fourth generation of the shuffle, it has almost identical 3rd generation features. Except that, there is an aluminum exterior, some different colors and increased capacity for media storage. The New iPod touch also has Retina display, A4 chip and FaceTime feature.
For Jobs, the big question was how to make the iPod touch into something better. So Apple joined its team of brainiacs and they eliminated the Click Wheel, made the whole system touch based and dropped the dimensions and size to a mere number of grams.
The new iPod touch and the iPod nano are available in yellow, red, black, pink and green colors. There’s also graphite silver for advanced users. The 8GB model of iPod nano will be available for $150, whereas, the 16GB edition is available for $180.
