Verizon Wireless posted a Youtube video in order to prove that their new connections are working at an amazing speed in a real world test near Boston. These wireless connections are a result of 4G internet technology so you can expect a lot from them.
After the conclusion of tests in Boston (and Seattle), Verizon claimed that their new 4G packages are going to be spread on a nice variation;
- A basic plan with 5Mbps Connection speed
- A 128 Mbps downstream and upstream option
- Midrange program with a 5Mbps upstream and 2Mbps Downstream option
The Youtube video was shot in a small pizzeria with real test results on a laptop. According to the final results, an 8.55Mbps Downlink and a 2.80Mbps Uplink was calculated. They also made comparisons of this 4G connection to the old 3G connections and the results were significantly different from one another.
LTE 4G is also going to be a next gen network of big companies like AT&T and the new project will commence next year. However, AT&T is not the only client on LTE’s list because they are willing to serve other carrier companies too. These days, the battle of 4G networks only revolves around speed and downloading capabilities.
We have another company, known as – Clearwire, with a similar WiMax network and they are providing the downlink at 10Mbps, which is far better than LTE’s. The interesting thing is that Clearwire also proved their results through a Youtube Video. So in the end, it is going to be up to you, whether you want to join the bandwagon or just want to go for something out of the blue.
