According to a recent market survey, Microsoft Office 2010 is still in the game these days. Previously, it was being said that the online application of MS – Office 2K10 (Web Apps) is pretty much useless against competitors like Google Docs and Zoho, but now the tides have turned in favor of Microsoft.
Some business that are looking forward to cutting down costs and opting for a cheap method of handling things – well, for them, Google Docs is more of a viable option. But on the other hand, very few companies are going for Google Docs and on top of it, the enhanced features of MS Office 2K10, give them all the right reasons to fall for it.
Sheri McLeish – Forrester Analyst, said that exclusive/pure business users find it hard to work on a loosely based platform like Google Docs. They need something solid, secure and stable, and Office 2010 is delivering them these promises easily.
According to today’s analysis, only 4% business users are using the Google Docs applications, whereas rest of the percentile was already merged knee deep in Microsoft Office 2007. The Forrester’s survey even lets us know that let alone, Google Docs is even finding it hard to keep up with Zoho.
Last but not the least, 1/3 of businesses has planned to shift themselves onto Microsoft Office 2010 within year 2010. Workers will finally be able to edit and share those files in a new manner, and PC community is not the only one, which can make the most out of Office Web Apps. We have our famous smartphones and tablet PCs as well. From this point onwards, things are only going to get better and better for MS Office Team.
