iOS4.1 Promises to Fix Proximity Sensor of iPhone 4

Finally a word from Uncle Steve:

The latest version of the iOS 4.1 is coming soon for all major Apple devices. In one of the press conferences, Apple CEO – Steve Jobs, sifted through a number of still images and talked a little about the upcoming goodies in the new OS. It is hoped that above all other things, Apple will resolve existing issues through the OTA update.

A small degree of users are experiencing proximity sensor related issues in their iPhones. Unfortunately, unlike the antenna gate thingy, Apple couldn’t patch up the proximity senor issues. The only way to get around the problem was to resolve it through a new algorithm – at least that what Apple believes in.

But regardless of issues, it has now become customary for iPhone users to experience choppy performance and low call quality. For some reason, people are now used to Apple’s “unique” style of serving its clients.

On the first and foremost basis, the iPhone 4 is a mobile phone. Some calls do not cut the par in terms of quality, and some of them are dropped because your bony cheeks tend to push the “highly sensitive” buttons on the screen, while the phone is pressed against your face.

The new iOS4.1 promises to address this issue. As said by Steve Jobs, users will be able to download a small patch from the iTunes website soon. However, if things don’t work out the way they were supposed to, then you can try disabling your touchscreen before attending those calls. This advice has always worked in 99% cases.
