Froyo 2.2: What Should We Expect from Its Update?

The Android community is close to a really big event that is about to take place in the next week. Yes, that’s right, it is time for the Android Froyo 2.2 upgrade and here’s what we can expect from it:

A Faster Motorola Droid

Among other Android powered smartphones, the Motorola Droid is expected to run faster than any of its rivals/counterparts. The latest OS of Android is going to provide an extra boost to the said Motorola handset, in terms of CPU performance, browser speed and JavaScript engine.

Flash, Baby — Flash

Unlike the notorious iPhone, Android is more flexible towards Adobe Flash. It means that you can view any webpage the way it was meant to be. Lets admit that Flash applications are still cool and not too shabby, Steve Jobs just wanted to give them a bad name.

Five Home Screens

The Android 2.2 will probably have 5 home screens; at least that’s what we are expecting from it. Verizon is already sparkling with rumors about those home screens that are supposed to provide speedy access to different phone menus and apps.

Better Droid Security

Security is one core aspect that is mandatory in any software. Without it, the whole package seems worthless, that’s why Froyo will help make your device into a iron clad fortress. Especially, the Droid community can expect enterprise level security protocols and minimum password requirements because everything is said to work at the backend.

Automatic App Updating

It will be much easier for you to keep your Doird’s apps updated. It is explained by the fact that Froyo is enabled with an updating feature, due to which one can set apps to automatically download. As a result, no intervention is necessary. But if you are not sure about this particual thing, you can also look for a new “Update All” function, due tow which one can grab multiple app update in a single swoop.
