The Motorola Droid X is one of the newest gadgets in the smartphone market. Many argue, that this phone just like the Evo 4 is a better, faster and more reliable smartphone when compared to the iPhone.

While the iPhone is truly a great phone and started the whole revolution, seems like companies like Motorola and HTC are able to challenge Apple’s creation. Few years ago no phone came even close but now days phones like the Droid X and the Evo 4 get a lot of attention and interested from millions of hungry consumers who are fed up with either AT&T or iPhone in general.

The truth of the matter is that people want options and not an iPhone dominated market. While the Droid X is not going to force Apple to bankruptcy, it will surely however take some market share.  The first Droid when it came out, sold a couple of million units in just 3 months.  The Droid X however, will outsell the first one as the Droid brand has a lot more recognition now and of course the phone is 10 times better than the original.

While I can’t say which phone one needs to get, I can certainly say that the Droid X is one cool and function-full  smartphone that will fit any lifestyle perfectly and easily.  With the recent growth of the Android OS, phones like the Droid X and HTC Evo have the potential and the power to overtake the market and make it a fair playing ground for other phone makers to give us better phones consistently.

  • 8-megapixel camera
  • Ability to record 720p video
  • Multitouch keyboard

Personally I see the vibrantas the best choice among all current phones because:

    1. Vibrant allows has the fastest processor (G4 does not perform at 1gzh )
    2. Vibrant has the fastest acceleration graphics chip, twice as fast as the Droid X.
    3. Vibrant has the only screen that can rival the G4. G4 has an awesome screen, though colors seem washed out.
    4. Network, vibrant reaches 5mbps download 2mbps upload. Droid X barely reaches 1.8mbps download and 0.5mbps upload. G4 if it works can barely reach 1.2mbps upload on 3G and 300kbps upload slowest of them all.
5.Cost Verizon costs 100 us for 5Gb traffic. Att costs 100 for 2Gb traffic. Both companies well charge you after your limit is reached. T mobile offers 10Gb traffic before they throttle you.

Many more reasons exist. But if you live in a metro area. Thought us the best choice then Sprint then Verizon. Att is reallly not a viable option.

Between CDMA and GSM, GSM is the best choice, cause it allows you to transmit data and voice at the same time, CDMA does not!. This implies that you can use your GPS and talk on the phone at the same time or talk on the phone while you look something on the net. T mobile and Att allow this Verizon and Sprint don’t.

Since I’m a FANBOY of Apple and the iPhone, I would like to see a head-to-head between Droid X and iPhone 4. No gimmicks; no politics, just plan compare and contrast type of data. I won’t be switching, but I’d like to see how the perceived competition stacks up.
