Motorola recently unveiled the Droid X which has a lot of powerful features in it, as expected from a smartphone. Some of these include the 4.3-inch display with touch screen features. Because of the screen’s size, you may find it convenient to read and type in the smartphone. It also uses the Android 2.1 OS along with the 1 GHz processor as well. Of course, the Droid X works using Motorola’s Application Platform.
As for the 8-megapixel cam, you can save about 8 gigabyte of pictures in its internal memory. But you can also extend the phone’s memory thanks to the 16 gigabyte microSD card. You can get to record videos and even play it on your HD TV as well. It would not just catch those important moments as it is but you can also add effects while using the still camera and the video option at the same time.
Droid X’s price is almost the same with the iPhone 4 and HTC EVO 4G. For only $199.99 and a two-year contract with Verizon, you can get your hands on this smartphone.
But despite these powerful features, the Droid X remains to be unimpressive. There were lags in the programs and it wouldn’t allow its user to share their photos and videos. And even if it promises its users to easily connect with their friends, Motorola’s Droid X seems to disappoint those who are after these features. They haven’t fixed this issue yet although it is already present in some of their other phones and other smartphones today as well.
So what’s the verdict for the Droid X? If you are addicted to sharing your photos and videos, this Motorola model is not for you. You just have to wait until they fix the software to enable a more user-friendly photo sharing feature.
