Content Lost – Content Blocked: What’s going on With the iOS?

iPhone-iOS4.2The initial iPhone iOS4.2 update craze wanes off as soon as you open your audio and video library. A lot of users have reported that their synched content doesn’t appear in there anymore. This is something “normal” as Apple likes to say it; it is part of the unwanted gifts that came along with the upgrade.

Just relax; your content is very much alive and still kicking in there somewhere. Start off by connecting your iPhone to the iTunes. The PC or Mac will show your media based contents in the device; hence the problem is half solved. At this point, you’re not required to transfer all the data again, you only need to re-synch the content for the iPhone to be able to see it.

Okay, so far so good; let’s move on to the second problem. This issue deals with the problems linked to the Apple TV, HDCP and AirPlay limitations. For most of the people, those “Requires HDCP When Playing Protected Content” messages are really irksome. Know this that the HDCP is a technology that helps you to play encrypted content through proper protocol. It means that you’ll be unable to play any protected content if the Apple TV is connected to a non-HDCP device.

On top of that, the HDCP isn’t supported by the HDMI connections, so it can be an issue in some cases. At this point, you can access the particular video from iTunes, through a Mac Attack or the new Apple TV. Or you can choose to select the Apple TV from the iTunes AirPlay menu and then move to the video that you’ve been craving for.
