Chrome-OS-to-Be-Released-in-JuneThe legendary PC maker company – Acer is expected to announce the release of some exclusive devices that are going to run Google Chrome’s OS. For now, we can say that the product itself is a prototype at the Computex trade show in Taiwan.

It isn’t clearly known as to whether it’s going to be netbooks, tablets or both of them that are going to be — able to run the Google Chrome OS. Google, on the other hand, is making claims that the first Chrome OS is going to be available in late 2010 and Acer is saying that the Chrome OS notebooks are going to be released by the mid of 2010. (Hmmm sounds like a confusion or some sort of controversy).

The goal of this Google Chrome OS is to transfer the computer oriented experience to a fast boot, browser based experience that isn’t going to be cut down by oversized OS and desktop applications. In other words, the interface will be smoother and not a lot of extra topping will be there for you to get immersed in.

Jim Wong – Acer’s President has been saying that we are aggressively trying to pursue our dream for becoming the first company who ever served users with Chrome based OS. The pricing for these notebooks hasn’t been announced yet, but we are taking a guess here, maybe it will lie somewhere in between $300 to $500.

If Acer successfully pulls this gig, then competitors like; Lenovo, Toshiba, Samsung, Dell and Asus are right behind in the long line of Chrome OS notebook developers.
