In the course of next few weeks, Microsoft is going to spread the Bing search engine service for Android powered clients. The question revolves around the fact if Android guys really need the Bing search engine service. After all, they have Google by their side.
Microsoft already offers a basic Bing client to Android community but its main purpose it to map tasks. The new Bing client will revamp the old Bing experience by bringing the full features of the Desktop Bing site, to all Android users.
According to Satya Nadella – Sr. Vice President of Microsoft Online Services Division, Microsoft is getting a good number of Android users who love to stay hooked to Bing. The search engine was launched in June 2009 and there has been an evident increase in the company’s share of the search market.
Nadella said that Microsoft is playing a low key game to avoid any troublesome figures. None of us are confused because we are playing a low share game. The company’s websites accounted for 13% of the overall searches performed in the last month.
All the more, Microsoft is slowly making changes to Bing to attract more users. If compared to the previous versions, Bing has improved significantly. There are some visual enhancements that were not there in the previous versions and now Bing has added new features that allow you to watch online videos and listen to online music with ease and comfort.
Bing also guesses a user’s intent based on the context of a search session. It is sort of an auto complete feature but lets just say that sometimes it comes in handy at Bing.com.

google is more than a search engine. it’s connected to a dozen things that i use daily that unless you break us all away from that perfect ecosystem we are happily dependent on, there is no way we’d consider switching to bing.
