Best Buy retail stores plan to have dozens of handsets on hand for customers during this week’s debut of Verizon’s iPhone 4, and they are also planning shelf space for the expected appearance of Apple’s white phone 4 model for AT&T.

Before the Verizon iPhone 4 is debuted this week, there was an image of it that started to emerge. Someone from a Best Buy store in Pennsylvania revealed that the store there is expecting to get 80 iPhones to sell during the Verizon debut day.

Some of the other locations have said they believe they will get a lot more phones in their stock during this Thursday’s scheduled debut. However, exactly how many each store will get is not known. The unit is expected to also be sold at Apple’s retail stores and at more than 2,000 Verizon stores in the United States.

A check of some of the first orders placed online show they started getting the phones in the mail three days before they were to be launched.

An additional fact that proves the evidence of a launch for the long awaited white phone 4 was a new image that came out this week showing a Houston Best Buy with a price tag for the 16GB model. The white phone 4, which is listed as the GSM AT&T-compatible model, appears with a no-contract price of $599.99, which is the same price as the black model.

Also, a listing was found at the Canadian retailer The Source that showed both the 16GB and 32GB abilities of the white phone 4 and was selling it for $159.95 and $269.95, respectively, through the carrier Bell.

It was reported last month that Apple had resolved some problems by using an improved paint mix to help build the white phone 4. Officials who are close to Apple’s  Far East partners said that an unnamed Japanese company made a new paint material that gave them greater control and accuracy in figuring out how thick the paint should be.

A stock list from Best Buy let on that the white phone 4 may be available to purchase Feb. 27, while AT&T’s computer systems revealed the phone was on track for a launch this spring. Apple has already delayed the white phone 4 many times, with the most current setback reported in October 2010.
