Apple iPad Is a Massive Hit in the Market

The iPad is no doubt a massive hit in the market and all the more, it gave the iPod and other Apple products, a good image. Except for the iPhone 4 thingy, you can plaster the iPad reputation anywhere and that’s one reason for rival companies to develop iPad killers.

For now, Apple is clearly a winner in this tablet PC race and through its sales in the Asia pacific market profits have never been so high for Apple. Thousands of consumers were lined up at their local retailers to get a piece of the iPad in the Asia pacific regions.

Off the Hook

Apple C.O.O – Tom Cook told us that his phone has been ringing off the hook, with concerns about the supply shortage of the iPad. Customers and distributors need more supple, memory cards and an insane number of units of iPads.

That’s why, Apple has been winning the battle for tablet computing already, but there have been a couple of setbacks as well. Apparently, Apple has all the necessary spare parts of the iPad, lined up at its manufacturer’s but there isn’t enough manpower and resources to complete those iPads into a solid unit.

It means that a top of the line product, which is just sitting on the factory floor, is just useless to customers. As quoted by the Apple spokesperson:

“Demand (from Apple) keeps growing and we can’t meet it all. Apple may have to delay launches of the iPad for some countries due to tight component supplies and strong demand.
“We are considering increasing production lines for iPad products but overall supply is likely to remain tight until early next year,” he said.
