Apple Inc. started the pre-ordering for the iPhone 4 on Tuesday. But on Wednesday, just a day after the pre-ordering, they already experienced a glitch. This happened after they gathered about 600,000 advanced orders.

After the reports had spread, the company confirmed that by far, this is the largest advanced orders that they ever had. At the same time, they also confirmed that the website’s approval system failed because of the unexpected demand for the smartphone. They apologized to the users for the said glitch.

According to the statement released by Apple, there were a lot of customers who became frustrated with the process. As a result they just abandoned their pre-ordering because they were already got tired of trying to go through the process. The server from AT&T is getting the same issues too.

But because these people are still persistent to get their hands on the iPhone 4 before it becomes available on the 24th of this month, there were already queues formed at the retail stores of AT&T and Apple since Tuesday. Unfortunately, it is also sold out because of the advanced orders. There were only 600,000 units of iPhone 4 and all of these were already availed by the lucky people that successfully completed the pre-ordering process.

Again, Apple apologized for all those who went through the difficulties just to pre-order the iPhone 4. The company hopes that they will still try to purchase the latest device from Apple Inc. once the new shipment comes. For sure, people will still flock at the AT&T and Apple retail stores if that happens.

If you are dying to have the white version of the iPhone 4, you are out of luck. From the website of Apple Inc. the black version is the only unit that will be available starting the second day of July.
