Apple and AT&T are good for boasting but when it comes to delivering promises, both companies just fall flat on the floor. This time, Apple apologized to over 60,000 clients for messing up their iPhone 4 pre-orders.
I think, it leaves a bad rep — right there on the company’s glossy Apple logo, but they’ll manage to come across it, through some sort of consolation prize for those potential buyers.
- “We apologize to all those customers who have been encountering difficulties in getting through with their pre orders for iPhone 4. For now, we had to cancel their orders due to some “technical” difficulties, but we hope that they’ll come back and visit Apple’s website to place orders for the new iPhone again” – said Apple in a press release.
It looks like, the high flux of traffic put a stress on Apple and AT&T’s website that caused it to come up with “Server timed out errors” and database conflicts. For Apple, it was an extremely frustrating experience and people have begun to get fed up with Apple and AT&Ts low quality service.
Under strict anonymity, some Apple employees informed us that they aren’t quite satisfied with their company’s current performance. “Evidently, its not the way it used to be years ago, we are going down slowly” – said a disgruntled Apple employee.
Currently, it is impossible to see the new iPhone 4 on the Web site of AT&T as the company removed the handset. There is only the last year’s iPhone 3GS. Also it is unknown when AT&T starts to take orders for iPhone 4.
Despite all that Apple offers 16GB and 32GB models of the iPhone 4 on its online store. It is expected that the device will be shipped on July 2.
