Android Gets more Ad Clicks than iPhone

When it comes to ad clicks, Android phones are now surpassing the clicks of the iPhone. However, it only comes to the category of Symbian handsets. This is from the reports given by an online service that analyzes and measures clicks of advertisements posted online.

Smaato, the measurement researcher for mobile advertisements got 339 clicks. 111 of the clicks were for the iPhone. On the other hand, Google’s platform gadgets got 118. The difference is really close but still, Android beat the iPhone this time.

Up to now, Symbian is still used in various parts of the world such as United States and Europe. Unfortunately, iPhones and Androids no longer utilize this type of operating software. It was first used by Nokia. However, even Nokia no longer uses the Symbian OS as well.

Apple Inc. should be baffled with this result. The surpassing of the ad clicks simply means that the competition between the Android and the iPhone is getting closer and tougher. During the past few days, the top executive of Google AdMob complained to Apple Inc. He said that the latter is actually trying to limit its use on the iPhone.

Omar Hamoui, the chief executive of AdMob, said in a blog post that Apple Inc. made a new proposal. Last Monday, Apple said that the developers of the applications should not use AdMob anymore. At the same time, the advertising solutions of Google should no longer be used on the iPhone as well. Of course, the developers do not like this idea. The users would also suffer too.

If you would base on the monthly reports given by the Smaato, there is no doubt that by now Apple Inc. is already feeling so much pressure from the Android-based smartphones. This is probably one of the reasons why Apple keeps on re-inventing their devices.
