Sony Ericsson is going to release its new Xperia X10. The device comes with a 4 inch WVGA+ capacitive touchscreen and a resolution of 480 x 854 pixel. One should note that the previous Xperia models run only on Microsoft Windows Mobile. But the upcoming device is based on Android and equipped with 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.
Xperia X10 includes high-end features, among them the 8.1-megapixel auto-focus camera that is able to back up flash and video. Due to such features the camera can detect face and smile and also stabilize images.
The company decided to integrate some specific apps for its new Xperia models, with the help of such app it is possible to combine messages from different sources such as Twitter, Facebook, e-mails, texts and e-mails.
It was decide to make the X10 as a quad-band GSM worldphone. Two versions will be available, the first one will be offered with 3G frequencies that are used mainly in North America and as for the second version, it will come with frequencies that are used in Europe, Asia and so on.
The device also includes such features as Wi-Fi connectivity, a microSDHC memory card slot as well as a GPS receiver. Also the company built Exchange ActiveSync that is very beneficial especially for business users as it is able to support e-mail systems. Moreover, an Office suite can be observed.
It is expected that this high-end phone will be launched across the world in the first half of 2010. Sony Ericsson’s division is going to release the device in February next year.
Unfortunately, the price is not unknown and no doubt it will differ according to a country as well as carrier.
