Nokia is now claiming that they have the thinnest smartphone today. And you would probably think the same once you get hold of the E55 which measure 4.57 x 1.93 x 0.39 and weighs only 3.46 ounces. Though lean and long, you can have a sturdy grip on the phone thanks to its metal surface which is available in two tones – black and white.
Although the smartphone does not incorporate a touch-screen feature, the 2.4-inch display can actually support as much as 16 million colors. It is not just color and vibrant but it also automatically adjust the display’s brightness which would depend on the environment, thanks to the light-sensing technology of the phone.
There are two modes available in the E55. The Business Mode is for the corporate you so that bears tools such as the calendar and the e-mail. On the other hand, the Personal Mode lets you use the applications like the multimedia and others.
Just right below the display are the navigation keys and shortcuts for your e-mail and calendar. After that is where the QWERTY keyboard is located. This is not like the conventional QWERTY keyboard since it seems like it was inspired by the SureType keyboard from RIM. You can even finish your message two times faster with the help of the predictive text. Though many would love to have soft buttons on their mobile phones, the Nokia E55 probably has too much of the good. So far, this is the only complain that the users have, using the handset.

Nokia phones are getting worse by the day.
I don’t know about you but I don’t class this as a smartphone, a real smartphone is a iPhone or an Android, this is just a feeble Nokia attempt at actually making some money for once. I myself have and iPhone and I think that this Nokia is simply a stupid advertising stunt and Nokia should be sired for false advertising “smartphone” my arse
