The new phone’s size is 4.17 inches by 2.2 inches by 0.5 inch. With these parameters it turns out to be a bit bigger than other representatives of its class. It weighs 4.8 ounces, but despite this it is still quite portable.
The handset features a touch screen, 2.8 inches in size. Most touch-screen phones have a much bigger one. It also lacks virtual keyboard. Thus, you have only physical keys. As far as the browser is concerned, the phone has Opera Mini and not full HTML. There is also no TouchWiz interface. It turns out that the touch-screen serves only for choosing icons and options.
The display provides support for 262,000 colors and 320×240 pixels. The screen is vibrant and bright and the images are sharp and clear. The brightness, backlight time, as well as font type are adjustable. The interface proves to be responsive.
Despite the fact that the Flight has no TouchWiz shortcut bar, you have three touch icons that provide you access to the messaging folder, the favorite contacts list, and a user-programmable shortcut menu. Below you will find touch controls for the main menu, the main contacts list, and the recent calls feature.
Right under the screen are found a back key along with the Talk and End/power buttons. On the left side are a volume rocker, a second onscreen shortcut menu, and the Micro-USB/charger port. On the right are a display lock switch and a camera shutter. The camera lens and small speaker are placed on the back.
The Flight’s physical keyboard proves to be spacious enough and easy to use. But you can use the recognition feature as well.
As far as the phone book is concerned, it can store 2,000 contacts and in every entry you can put five numbers, an e-mail address, a URL, a nickname, a company and job title, a birthday, and notes. It is also possible to arrange groups of callers and provide photos, ringtones, and alert tones for them.

This phone has a trendy look. It is very user friendly. Features are not very satisfying, just average. The qwerty keyboard makes typing very easy. The call
quality is very bad. Overall its not a smart phone though having qwerty keyboard and touch screen. For more details refer http://www.etechreviews.net/review-of-samsung-flight-sgh-a797-cell-phone/
