lg_chocolate_touch In terms of its design the LG Chocolate Touch VX8575 does not differ from other LG phones with touch screens such as the LG Vu and the LG Dare. The Chocolate Touch is 4.3 inches long by 2.2 inches wide by 0.47 inch thick and has a rectangular form with its edges slightly rounded. The phone goes with two back plates in a pack you can change: one with black shapes, and the other with purple.

The Chocolate Touch features a 3.0-inch display that is vibrant and colorful providing 262,000-color support and 400×240 pixel resolution. It can differentiate between shadows and color gradients of the images. The backlight time, the charging screen, the clock format on the home screen, the menu font style and the dial font size are adjustable.

There are two shortcut icons on the right side of the home screen that can be hidden if needed. These are a shortcut bin and the music player shortcut. It is also possible to add and remove other shortcuts from the menu effortlessly. At the bottom of the home screen there are shortcuts to the messaging in-box, the phone dialer, the main menu, the contacts list, and the favorite contacts screen.

The new device features a built-in accelerometer that changes the screen from portrait to landscape when you turn the phone in the hand. But remember that it functions only in some definite applications, such as the Web browser. In addition, if you rotate the screen to the landscape mode when you are using the text messaging app, a full QWERTY keyboard will appear. It is very simple in use. There is a @ key that double as a “.com” key as soon as you tap shift. The text can be also entered through a nine-key alphanumeric keypad or via handwriting recognition.

Below the display you will find three physical keys: Send, Clear, End/Power. The Clear key doubles as the voice record if give it a long press. On the left side of the phone you can see the charger jack, the volume control and the speakerphone key. On the top of it there is a 3.5mm  headset jack. On the right side are the camera key, the music player key, and the screen lock key. The camera is on the back. Behind the battery cover there is the microSD card slot.
