BlackBerry-Magnum-Review We hear lots of rumors and gossips about the BlackBerry Magnum smartphone. Everyone is waiting for the device that will have a full QWERTY keyboard and touch screen. They say that the Magnum will resemble BlackBerry Storm2 9520, BlackBerry Curve 8900, and BlackBerry Bold 9700. The date of release is not known yet, but it is expected soon.

The BlackBerry Magnum is like a combination of BlackBerry Curve 8900, BlackBerry Bold 9700 and BlackBerry Storm2 9520, but in the design the Magnum is closer to the Bold 9700 mobile. The smartphone has attractive bright black casing. The Magnum’s size is 114 x 66 x 14 mm. Its weight is 133 grams. The screen measures 2.6 inches. It is a TFT touch screen with color support of 65,000 hues and the resolution of 480 x 360 pixels. Below the screen there is the logo of BlackBerry and the main touch sensitive controls. The QWERTY keyboard is very convenient, it is easy to use for messaging and emailing.

The BlackBerry Magnum can support both 2G and 3G networks. It has the quad band GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 support and tri band 3G HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 support. The other features include microUSB, Bluetooth, WLAN, HSDPA, Class 10 GPRS and Class 10 EDGE.

The inner memory is going to be large enough for a great number of contacts, phone book fields and call records. There is an opportunity for enhancing memory up to 8 GB.

The camera of the Magnum is 2-megapixel with resolution of 1600×1200 pixels. It features a LED flash.  The Magnum’s music player supports MP3, eAAC+, WMA formats. The video player can play MP4, WMV, H.263, H.264 formats.

The BlackBerry Magnum is going to be great. We are looking forward to its announcement.

Looks like a 9000 with a 9500 series screen. It looks nothing like an 8900 or 9700. What a bad photoshop job too, the nice gap between the keyboard and the screen. I think my 9 year old son could do a better job at making a pic of a rumored phone.

This isn’t a review, just a bad rumor. If you would be paying any attention to the rumors then you would know that the Magnum was scrapped for the Dakota.

    Good laugh though…
