Why did Samsung called it glint in the first place when this phone is not flashy in any way? However, if you are just looking for a basic phone, you can simply settle for the simple yet functional model called Glint SCH-u350. The clamshell mobile phone that is 3.35 ounces has an external display which only shows the battery, date, time, message notification, and the photo you set for your contact. Just above this postage stamp-size display is the VGA camera which only has 1.3 megapixels. Unfortunately, despite the shoot options, the quality of the pictures is low, which is expected from a camera with VGA lens. Store as many photos as you like as long as it would fit on the phone’s 52MB internal memory.

Open the phone and you will find the 1.9 inch screen which only has the low resolution of 128×160 pixels. Thus, the colors and graphics are not as competitive as the mobile phones released this year. But you can still see the display clearly if you would just use it for sending text messages and calling your contacts. Speaking of which, you can have as much as 1,000 contacts with 2 e-mail addresses and 5 numbers each. Basic phones of today’s era would already include the Bluetooth feature, but Samsung did not include this with the Glint SCH-u350.

Nevertheless, it can be a useful organizer since you can personalize the calendar, alarm clock, memo pad, and other helpful features present in an ordinary phone.
