Nokia may be running out of ideas as it releases a new model yet only incorporates the basic mobile phone features. The Nokia 2660 decides to go retro with its black and silver color scheme. It is not so stylish for a 2010 unit. You can even mistake it for a clamshell handset that was released decades ago if you would also look at the façade. It has an external display of white and blue resolution which shows basic details such as time battery life, date, and signal strength. The time would always be visible even if all the display becomes dim. Inside the clamshell is the main screen which is only 1.8-inch. As expected from a basic phone the 2660 only has the resolution of 160×120 pixels.
Fortunately, the navigation keys and the keypad buttons are easy to use. The comfortable controls would make you think twice about throwing this along with the rest of the old mobile phones.
Only 400 contacts can be stored in the phonebook of 2660. You can put their phone number, company name, street address, e-mail address, and their birthday. It is also possible to put a little note about the contact as well in case you have problems remembering each and everyone in your list. The photo caller ID can be from any of the images stored in the phone’s memory. Too bad you can’t use your own pictures since even the lowest quality mobile phone camera is not available in Nokia 2660.
