There is nothing innovative about Evoke QA4 the from Motorola. However, you may appreciate that it features the touch-screen technology despite its size, which measures 4.25×1.99×0.68 inch. Although, it only weighs 4.25 ounces, you can have a sturdy feel once you get hold of this very portable mobile phone. Unfortunately, people prefer large displays, especially in a touch-screen handset. Motorola only enriched the Evoke QA4 with a 2.8-inch display which is quite a killer.
But you would definitely love the feature of Evoke that allows you to access QuickSearch from Google, MSNBC, MySpce, AccuView weathr, and even Youtube! You don’t have to go through the entire menu since you can access these services using the onscreen widget displayed on the phone.
When it comes to the performance of the touch-screen feature, Motorola should have spent more time for this. It would not work effectively if you think that you just swipe it lightly. At the same time, there is no option if you want to change the sensitivity of the display as well. So you just have to settle for a firm touch if you need to get around the mobile phone.
Evoke offers three ways on how you could type your messages. Aside from the conventional alphanumeric keypad which needs to be tapped, you can also have a virtual alphanumeric keypad as well. But you may also opt to use the virtual QWERTY keypad if you find it more convenient.
Other features of the Evoke include USB mass storage that allows PC syncing, stereo Bluetooth, and a 2-megapixel camera.

I totally agree – the Evoke is a solid, functional phone that bridges the gap between a smartphone and the old-school Razer. I don’t think they were going for brilliant touch screen – just something better than your supermarket checkout!
