The LG Rhythm is a nice music mobile with a much-improved music player and outstanding audio quality. You can get the LG Rhythm from either Alltel or U.S. Cellular for about $120.

The LG Rhythm is a slider phone with a streamlined design. The Rhythm’s size is 4.06 inches long by 1.93 inche wide by 0.64 inch thick. The display is great. Its size is 2.0 inch and it supports 262,144 hues. The resolution is 240×320 pixels. Under the screen there is a mechanical scroll wheel that functions as a menu. We liked that the wheel scrolls without much resistance. There is a touch screen in the middle of the wheel. This screen shows an image of on-going function. Around the scroll wheel there are 4 touch-sensitive keys. To open the phone you need to slide it and there will be a tactile keypad. The keys are very convenient as they are raised above the surface and well-spaced.

The essential features are a phone book for 1,000 contacts, speakerphone, unit converter, text and multimedia messaging, calculator, calendar, alarm, stopwatch, world clock, vibrate mode, and notepad.

The higher features involve the wireless Web browser, EV-DO, instant messaging, mobile Web e-mail, as well as stereo Bluetooth support.

The music player of the Rhythm is the main feature of the phone. The interface is great and the functionality as well as setting are even better than in some full-blown MP3 players. There are equalizer settings by Mark Levinson, such as Natural Sound, Live, Flat, Comfort, Virtual Bass, and Clear. The phone features 3D sound, stereo speakers and digital signal processing. The Rhythm has a microSD card slot for songs storage.

The Rhythm’s camera is 1.3 megapixel which is able to take photos in 5 resolutions. Photo quality is average, the photos are a bit blurry. The quality of video is disappointing.

The battery life of LG Rhythm promises 4 hours of talk time and about 7.5 days of standby.

The design of LG Rhythm is nice, the functionality is full. A mechanical scroll wheel with a touch screen in the center provides easier navigation. We were amazed by audio quality.

The quality of photos is average. You have to get used to touch-sensitive keys and scroll wheel.

The LG Rhythm is one of the most enhanced music phones that is stylish and with an excellent quality of audio.
