BlackBerry gets Verizon’s Push to Talk

Verizon wireless, a mobile phone carrier announced on Monday about its plans to start giving the BlackBerry Tour 9630′s push to talk on its airwaves from today (March 30) onwards. A wireless operator said that this new feature will be available for both the customers of BlackBerry Enterprise server and the BlackBerry Internet Service.

Mark Bartolomeo , the vice president of Global enterprise marketing said that Extending the Verizon’s push to talk to BlackBerry tour offers the instant communication, security of enterprise-grade and also the capabilities of robust business communications in a single device to the business customers. Customers will have the ultimate productivity tools when these features are coupled with a reliable wireless network.The customers of Verizon Wireless who are willing to add this push to talk can do it in online. Immediately after the addition of push to talk the applications can be downloaded from Application center. The convenience key that is on the device’s left side will be the Push to talk button.

·           Initiating and participating in group calls with fifty participants.

·           The presence feature allows you to check the availability of the colleagues’ for a call in Push to Talk.

Verizon said that many Push to Talk phones are available for the users like CASIO G’zOne Brigade, CASIO G’zOne Rock, Motorola Barrage and Samsung Convoy. Owners can enjoy a two-way communication.
