The Sony Ericsson S700 and Nokia 7610 have one similarity. They both have megapixel cameras. The Nokia 7610 came out first and the S700 from Sony Ericsson came later. Aside from its megapixel camera, the Nokia 7610 has marginal features.
The camera phone from Nokia allows you to choose a size and quality of a picture in three different levels. It has a night mode and a self-timer. It also has a 4x digital zoom but it has no exposure compensation that could fix its automatic metering.
The Sony Ericsson S700 has a better camera. It has a dual front design that allowed the users to hold it in a horizontal position just like a normal digital camera. The shutter is on the side while the second hand can be used to control the exposure compensation. The lens is protected by a cover and has a white diode as flash. Once the cover is opened, the camera is ready to shoot.
Of the two, the Sony Ericsson S700 feels more like a digital camera. You’ll forget that you’re holding a mobile phone. This has been one of the strong points of Sony Ericsson and can still be seen from its current smartphones.
