3D is not something that most smartphone manufacturers are betting on today. But this is not the case with LG. It released the LG Optimus 3D in July of 2011 and it has the capability of capturing and viewing 3D images.
The key features of the LG Optimus 3D are its display and pair of cameras. But even without the 3D imagery, it can still compete against the other smartphones on the market. It has a dual-core processor, lastest GPU chipset, good cameras, and runs on Android Froyo but can easily be upgraded to Gingerbread.
LG jumped the gun on the competitors by being the first one to offer a 3D smartphone. The LG Optimus 3D has 3D menus, 3D gallery, 3D videos and photos, and 3D games. The 3D images on the phone look impressive.
3D technology has been invading the consumer market with 3D TV sets and displays. Then there are 3D cinemas and 3D screens at the malls. The LG Optimus 3D is the first ever 3D smartphone. There might be better smartphones on the market but none of them have 3D capabilities.
The 3D display looks good and definitely better than the HTC EVO 3D. The 3D content is also fun. While the 3D technology is not that advanced, it is still an impressive feature to have in one’s smartphone.
