While the super high-end 17 inch M6500 from Dell was more suitable for giant people, here is one for the regular size ones.

The new Precision M4500 is all set to enthrall people, though a few compromises had to be made in this version.

The new laptop of 15.6-inch flaunts a 16:9, 1920 x 1080 display, supported by NVIDIA Quadro FX 1800M or 880M graphics (the 6500 supports the 3800M, 2800M and ATI M7740) , Core i5 or Core i7 processors, on up to the Core i7-920XM Quad Core Extreme Edition.

Its Dell and obviously there are plenty of perks and tweaks for offer; for instance, the multi-carrier-friendly Gobi 2.0 wireless chip, Precision ON, multitouch track pad, backlit keyboard, a 3 megapixel camera,  a 64GB SSD mini card for dual drive configuration without abandoning the optical drive and a HD+ sRGB LED screen with 100 percent color gamut.

The most exciting aspect is that the battery with the nine cell option is able to give 7 hours and forty minutes.

The 12 cell battery slice option that is less than half an inch in thickness is sure to send it soaring.

The Precision M4500 is 1.1 inches thick and has a weight of 6 pounds.

Though the exact prices are not yet known, it is expected to begin at less than $1,700.

Feast your eyes on the laptop in a few weeks time.

If that’s not big enough news, here is another! Dell has begun upgrading the workstations of its Precision T5300, T5500 and T7500 to Intel Xeon 5600 Westmere EP processors for all the desk potatoes, expected in the same timeframe.
