REVIEW:

Sony has launched a new 13 inch vaio VPCZ116GX/S laptop to compete with the category of 13 inch laptops. It comes with a super fast Intel Core i5 processor. Its fast processor certainly provides some advantage to it over other 13 inch laptops, but its high price certainly puts it down.

It is a thin and light weight Macbook. The outer body of the system is made up of a combination of brushed metal and magnesium which gives it a sturdy look. The base of the keyboard is made up of silver color and the keys are made up of black color to give a professional look.                    It has a 13.3 inches wide LED screen which supports 1600×900 pixel resolutions. It provides Nvidia GeForce GT 330M and Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics which can be switched off to save the power.

It has a raised island style keyboard. Its keys are little bit small and the spacing between keys is too much. Its touchpad is just amazing. It is effective, responsive and offers a lot of space. The left and right buttons of the touchpad are separated by a fingerprint reader.

You will see a three way switch just above the keyboard which is used to switch on and off the graphics. You will also see three quick launch buttons, out of which one button is used to launch the Sony’s media gallery software, one button is user dependent and one is used to launch the support resources of Sony.

It provides a standard set of ports and connections. It includes a DVD drive but at this price we expected a Blu-ray drive. It gives a battery life of 3 to 4 hours.

GOOD FEATURES:

1. Its fast processor gives amazing performance.

2. Its graphics are switchable.

3. Its touchpad is excellent.

4. It gives large RAM and hard drive.

BAD FEATURES:

1. Its cost is too much high.

2. Its keyboard is not user friendly.

3. It does not have a Blu-ray drive.

MAIN POINT:

The Sony Vaio VPCZ116GX/S gives us all the high end features but at a very high price, which takes it out of the reach of most of the customers. I would give 4 out of 5 stars to this laptop.
