If you’re looking for a laptop that packs a lot of power into a light weight machine then you shouldn’t look much further than the HP Envy 15. This 15 inch screen laptop is one of the best for the multimedia/gaming environment and shines brightly as a power house for a personal laptop. The only real downsides to this vision of loveliness are the fact that there are a few issues with playing back Blu-ray discs and some software does seem to be a slight bit buggy. But that is nothing to get upset with seeing that this is a first generation product of its kind.
As far as the price is concerned, you might feel a bit of shock. At roughly $2000 to start out with it would seem that it is not quite ready for the everyday user. In fact, it will probably become quite a social status symbol for the hardcore gaming people rather than the everyday family surfing the internet. With that being said, it is highly comparable to the Alienware version in power and speed.
Even though the price is a bit high for now, you still get quite a few good features that make the price seem more reasonable. First of all, if you order direct from HP you can have the option to upgrade the external DVD player to the optional Blu-Ray player/burner. And don’t forget that you will also be receiving the extra extended life battery. When you are packing something this big and powerful, it always helps to have that extra battery sitting around just in case.
All in all this laptop will probably see an explosion of popularity once the price drops down to where everyday people can afford to carry it around. Once the price goes down, people might be standing in line for this one.
