This one is for you, kids…Real solid! That is how the new convertible Classmate PC from Intel could be described. It feels really heavy but yeah, it definitely appears like it could take a beating in a backpack or survive a decent fall too. What fails to impress is the resistive touchscreen performance. Accepted that these are pre production units, but the fact is that the resistive touchscreen was pretty unresponsive to the pen input while drawing on the screen. Come on Intel! Everyone craves for multitouch. The rotating webcam and the expansions made to the touchpad and keypad are really good. But folks, you have to wait to get your hands on these for the little ones Intel says that these would be brought to the market by OEMs sometime around in April.
