This one is for the eternal music lover: The VSX-520-K and VSX-820-K 5.1 channel A/V receivers are to be launched by Pioneer this month.

These extend Bluetooth audio streaming from a gadget that is Bluetooth enabled to the home theater system. They are also 3D-ready with HDMI v1.4.

The VSX-820-K shows off the  ‘Works with iPhone’ certification which implies that playback content could be played on an iPhone/iPod/ iPod touch and also stream content while charging it through the receiver.

The iPhone control button on the front panel enables the transfer of on-screen display and navigation control from its remote control to the Apple product that is connected for the purpose of browsing through media files directly on the device.

 Wireless Bluetooth transfer of audio files from a Bluetooth-enabled iPhone, iPod touch, PC or Smartphone to their home theater system with the non-mandatory Bluetooth adapter is enabled in both the receivers.

The latest offering from Pioneer are 3D-ready. It integrates HDMI v1.4 which meets Blu-ray 3D specifications and 3D specific command protocol.

They possess the ability to decode HD audio formats like DTS Master and Dolby True HD with the Dolby ProLogic IIz height channel. 

The proprietary Front Wide Mode offers support to a 7.1 speaker arrangement as well as other speaker placement options.

Room calibration technologies and audio enhancement are inclusive of Auto Level control.

Three HDMI 1.4 3D-ready inputs are attributed to the VSX-520-K while the VSX-820-K comes with four.

 The latter also comes integrated with Multi-Channel Acoustic Calibration technology, sports an on-screen display and boasts of being Sirius satellites radio-ready too.

The VSX-520-K also features a mini front input and the other one is embedded with USB, composite and A/V front inputs. Both of these receivers make use of 5 x 110W of of electricity and flaunts a premium glossy black colored exterior
