Gaming isn’t something that people are going to forget about. Developers, game programmers, MMORPG’s, console games, handheld games and even games for your smartphone. Gaming is everywhere and each year there are a bunch of games that gamers from all over the world are waiting to spend their hard earned cash on. What do you think they are for 2011?
How about a new Star Wars game? Star Wars: The Old Republic is coming from LucasArts for the PC. It’s an MMO that looks pretty exciting, but let’s not get all worked up since we know how MMO’s go. There is a nice cinematic feel to the game and users can pick factions from the Repulic or Sith. Many promises have been made, let’s see how they deliver.
What if you like Batman instead? The new Batman: Arkham City will be out sometime this year and it should be pretty sweet following the Game of the Year Batman: Arkham Asylum. Keep an eye out for an extra dose of Catwoman! This game will be released for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
Remember the old school Legends of Zelda for Nintendo? Been waiting awhile for another Zelda game? This year we should see The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword for the Wii. The prequel to Ocarina of Time, you should be seeing Link’s adventures on land. Making good use of the MotionPlus controller for attacks and object-character interactions in puzzles should keep you interested for the long term.
How about a game that has been in development for 13 years!? That’s right Duke Nukem Forever should be out this year for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Gamers will be thrown back into the standard “shooter” in this fun game, remembering the good ol’days of cartoonish violence, bloody scenes and bad humor.
