if these controller guitars can plug to an amp why can't they produce a device that will allow me to plug my own $800+ guitars into the game? I can see how it would be very appealing to somebody interested in learning (if notes, tuning, frets, etc, are accurate) but its a definate turn-off to established guitarists who would rather not spend $170 on a crap guitar when they have a $900 martin, $1700 Taylor, $2000 Gibson, etc, etc, etc. I would have bought this game the day it came out if i wasn't going to have a budget guitar/controller forced down my throat. But hey, maybe some marketing genius thought "more money if they need to buy this guitar" instead of thinking "hey... we can offer this for beginners and this fancy stereo jack-->wifi box for people who have nice guitars so we don't loose sales by being greedy assholes."

Will the games/guitar actually use the correct notes/string/fret positions for every note that is required in a song? Or is it pseudo "Guitar Hero" positioning using colors?

I play Acoustic and plan on buying an electric used Les Paul very soon.
I also own games such as Rock Band. I think this idea is something a lot of gamers want to see. Simple pressing coloured buttons in a row is fine, but if you think you have excellent hand eye coordination now, wait til this is out. I'm most certain that this will be way more challenging. This is taking it to the next level. Looking at the guitar for this game makes me wonder....are we able to connect to a real amp? Lol
