The much awaited for next version of Rock Band has now been officially announced. Rock Band 3 will become available just in time for this year’s Christmas holiday season, according to Viacom’s CEO, Philippe Dauman. That means you gamers that are avid Rock Band fans – get it on your Christmas wish list now!
Electronic Arts will be the distributer of the game once again with MTV Games being the publisher…more specific features, platforms, list of songs, etc. will be announced later this year as it is not available just yet or maybe they just want to keep our heads spinning.
The Beatles: Rock Band is a predecessor edition of the Rock Band game series and was released this past September and due to losses last year, Dauman says the team will be focusing more cost-effective songs as well as on the software instead of the hardware in order to try to decrease expenditure.
Regardless of having to wait for the specific details concerning Rock Band 3, we all know we want it so don’t forget to write Santa and tell him what you want for Christmas – Rock Band 3!
