NVIDIA is likely to launch its own smartbook which has Windows CE operating system (NVIDIA claim that the final version could sport Google’s Android operating system) and the Tegra platform. According to Pocket Lint a new smartbook is to be introduced by the end of this year. As about everything new and secret the details about the smartbook are not known precisely. The only information available is that a new brand will have a focus on HD video and Flash will cover everything all users need for modern web (for instance, 3G wireless connectivity, and even a webcam for video conferencing). The model possesses the higher level of power efficiency if to compare with all other devices of the same type. However, the technical specifications of the smartbook are still being finalized.
By the way in this new model is going to have very little in common with NVIDIA. The smartbook was developed by the company of Mobinnova, and its production will be taken by company of Foxconn.
They expect the model to be launched somewhere around “Black Friday” in the US. Black Friday is usually called one of the busiest periods of shopping in the year. That is the time when Americans begin their shopping for Christmas. The fact can mean that this is going to become the netbook number one of the year.
NVIDIA is looking forward to hearing from mobile phone operators who are expected to offer the smartbook on a two-year contract for no free of charge. This particular and special device is going to be just one of a number of smartbooks to launch by the time the year finished. According to NVIDIA the orders for the smartbook have already started from mobile operators in Europe, the USA and Canada.
