Tablet devices would be the rage this coming holiday season. According to the respondents of a recent survey, only 31 percent were not interested in buying a tablet device. 44 percent would consider the 7-inch Amazon Kindle Fire. 12 percent said that they would buy an iPad and nothing else.
The results of the survey indicate that Amazon Kindle Fire could get a good share of the tablet market this coming holiday season. The survey didn’t include Barnes & Noble Nook Tablet, which is also an alternative to Apple’s iPad.
The 7-inch tablet is a popular choice among those surveyed. That means Kindle Fire, Barnes & Noble’s Nook Tablet, and the smaller Android tablets could be hot items this holiday season. iPad owners complain that the device is slightly heavy and difficult to hold with one hand. Half of the owners of the iPad 2 said that the size and weight is just right.
There would still be a market for the 8-inch and 10-inch tablets. Amazon is rumored to be releasing a 10-inch tablet. iPad owners are wishing for a lighter and smaller iPad from Apple. It is said that 27 percent of iPad 2 owners have another tablet.
