Rii Mini Wireless Keyboard is the One for your HTPC

HTPC  owners looking for the ideal couch-borne computer keyboard, the Rii Mini Wireless Keyboard is the answer for you.

It comes with a QWERTY and a touchpad everything in a package that should be more comfortable in the hand than a television remote.

There is also the laser pointer that indicates strange symbols and shapes.

The $49 price is not that outrageous too.

Well, for some basics, the Rii Mini wireless keyboard is a handheld one consisting of 69 keys, touchpad and laser pointer.

The portable and tiny design of the keyboard at 151x59x13mm, can be utilized for school, travel or any other working environment.
The integrated touch pad can be utilized either horizontally or vertically.

Some of the characteristic features are

  • LED backlit
  • Radio frequency of 2.4GHz with USB receiver
  • Up to 30 meters range
  • 500- 700 hours standby time

On the retrospective:

An HTPC is actually a home theater PC similar to a Mac Mini. This tiny tower lets you hook up to your television to watch media or browse the web. With the Mac Mini, Front row could be elegantly made use of to navigate through all the media on the Mac. Guess what the problem was? No tiny keyboard!

A Bluetooth enabled keyboard is viable, but come on, that’s rather big.

But the Rii Mini could be compactly held in your hands and stored anywhere for that matter. Yippee!

I bought one from lktown.com, but I wonder is: in the manual, it said “when connected, the bluetooth keyboard will light up “blue”, but mine light up green. I get confuse with the 2.4ghz version.

“An HTPC is actually a home theater PC similar to a Mac Mini.”

That’s like saying a car is a personal wheeled vehicle similar to a inexplicably expensive Volkswagen.
