MSI-Wind-U135-2The Wind U135 is the one of the latest netbooks introduced by MSI. The device comes in a simple design and is available in a high-contrast color scheme. The screen is based on a Color Film Print Technology that looks like the Imprint finish found on HP notebooks. But it would be right to say that such type of technology provides greater durability if compare with a simple painted glossy surface.

If look at build quality of the netbook and compare it with other models, one can say it is average. The Wind U135 is equipped with a 10” glossy LED-backlit display that is also below average.

As for speaker performance, it does not have enough volume. But still the speakers are considered to be great in case you intend to view a video clip or just listen to music. In case you have decided to watch a movie, it is advised to use headphones.

The keyboard of the netbook resembles the one found on the ASUS Eee PC 1005PE. But still it is a Chiclet-style keyboard that has the same key size, key shape and layout as the ASUS Eee PC 1005PE has. But the U135’s keyboard is more solid.

The device features audio jacks, an SDHC-card reader, VGA-out, three USB ports, and Ethernet. Furthermore, the netbook includes a Kensington Lock for security. The Wind U135 is powered with the Intel CULV processors. There is a problem with HD streaming content. The netbook runs Windows 7 and it is also based on the Pine Trail platform.

As for the battery life, the netbook manages to work during 6 hours and 30 minutes. The U135 lacks any kind of touchpad software that is reducing the features a lot. There is also another drawback of the device, i.e. the life battery. It is explained by the fact that the netbook consumes a lot of power, the U135 draws about 8 watts. But if improve the device in software and power consumption, it would be a nice little netbook.
