Finally, the official word on Windows Mobile 7 a.k.a Windows Phone 7 Series is out. The phones should begin selling by this holiday season.

Microsoft’s next OS installment for mobiles was announced at the MWC 2010.This completely new mobile operating system is specially conceived for “Life in Motion”, with a very different approach.

The next generation mobile windows, the Phone 7 series guarantees to provide the ultimate experience. All of today’s demands like connecting people, office, multimedia and games comes packaged neatly into a really tight, pretty and simple OS.

The “dynamic tiles” on the Start screen serve as shortcuts and displays updated application information.

The Windows Phone 7 content is structured on what are called hubs. Local and online services and content are brought together for easy access.

  • Pictures/inclusive of both saved and online albums
  • People/with social networking
  • Games/with complete access to your rankings and live profile in Xbox
  • Office/daily notes, agendas & calendar
  • Video+Music
  • Marketplace/a refurbished version of Microsoft app store

People hub to connect to all friends. Facebook, Live service integration and may be Twitter too would be available.

Besides, all other usual SNS things like sharing links, sending PMs, updating status etc as well as dynamically updated information about all your friends.

Music+Video and Pictures resemble the portable player Zune in various aspects like fonts, graphics, wallpapers, transitions etc. But yes, Microsoft has elevated the visual experience.

Xbox Live game console is integrated into the games hub of the new OS, letting gamers to play very easily with friends, share statistics, chat with their friends, view and participate in charts, watch trailers or demo videos or gather points from unlocked achievements.

The Office hub lets you have all your work, organizer and documents in a single place, at your fingertips.

The Marketplace is given a complete face-lift and offers a number of apps. This also doubles up as an app manager, letting you update or install new programs from here.

The Windows Phone 7 series does not facilitate firmware or user customization, but for the wallpapers.

Earlier reports from Adobe affirmed that the Windows Phone 7 will not have Flash support. Microsoft has not explained this issue yet.

So the Windows Phone 7 platform is the massive step promised by Microsoft a long time back. But the unified and simplified functionality and interface does lead to more restrictions.

However, Microsoft is definitely and undoubtedly on the right path.

I hate myself for wanting this phone. My balls are so raw all the time because I constant have to beat off everytime I set my eyes upon an Apple product bithed by my emaciating sugar daddy….the bastard Syrian.

I John Gruber wow to insert a magic mouse up my poop hole everytime I even think about using this phone. That should teach me to remain loyal to my iPhone, Mac and my legion of iTwat blog readers.
